Professor Zhi Zhenfeng Gives Lecture on the Spirit of the Work Meeting of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission in Shaanxi Province

On July 20, 2018, the Publicity Team of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission organized a symposium in Shaanxi Province to promote the study and implementation of the spirit of the Work Meeting of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission on Cyber Security and Informatization, specially the important speech given by Secretary-general Xi Jinping at the meeting. At the symposium, presided over by Mr. Zhang Lin and Mr. Huang Yonghong, the two deputy directors of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the Provincial Party Committee, Professor Zhi Zhenfeng, a research fellow at CASS Law Institute, and Mr. Liu Xinyu, Deputy Director of the Institute of Microelectronics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, each gave a speech on “the construction and management of Internet content” and “the development of cyber security and informatization”, respectively.

In their lectures, the two experts, in light of the Party Secretary General Xi Jinping’s important exposition of the national cyber development strategy and the spirit of the Work Meeting of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission on Cyber Security and Informatization, used sound theory, detailed data, vivid cases, and living language to give in-depth explanations and systematic expositions of such issues as the Party’s centralized and unified leadership over cyber and information work, the construction and management of Internet content, the maintenance of cyber security, and promotion of breakthroughs in the development of core technology in the field of information.

The symposium was attended by over 300 persons, including representatives of offices of cyberspace affairs commissions of the Provincial Party Committee and the Municipal Party Committee of Xi’an City, the Leading Group of Cyber Security and Informatization of the Provincial Party Committee and various departments under it, cyber security and informatization offices of governments of various cities and districts, various websites of major central and provincial-level news agencies, institutions of higher learning, Internet mass organizations and internet service providers.
